Nenad Furtula is a partner and VP of Sales and Marketing at Bluestream Database Software. Nenad has been working with XML and bringing XML-related products to market for over a decade. Currently his primary professional interest lies in building and socializing a DITA-enabled value-based component content management system called XDocs.

The webinar’s stated focus
The announcement promised a look at creating content that met DITA specifications while working with CMS content directly in FrameMaker. That wording places the author’s interaction with managed content at the center of the session.
Separate three responsibilities
Content structure
Define what the information means and how it should be organized. Use representative tasks and supporting material to test the authoring rules.
Authoring experience
Observe how writers create and revise the content. Include realistic references and publication context rather than testing only a standalone paragraph.
Content management
Confirm how the team identifies, reviews, approves, and maintains the right content version. Decide which responsibilities belong to the repository workflow.
A practical integration test
Choose a topic that is used by an actual publication and includes a linked resource. Open it through the proposed workflow, make a controlled change, and follow it through review and publication. Inspect the output and ask how another author would identify the approved source. This makes the boundary between editing convenience and content governance concrete.
Follow the version history
This archive refers specifically to FrameMaker’s 2015 release. Bluestream’s later 2019 announcement introduced a Direct Connector developed by InfoParse for FrameMaker’s 2019 release. Neither historical article should be used as a current compatibility guarantee; use the version relevant to the environment being evaluated.
