In March 2016, Adobe-certified connectivity brought FrameMaker 2015 authoring and the XDocs 4.1 repository closer together. Leximation’s integration tools supplied the link between the two environments.
What the integration enabled
Bluestream announced integration of Adobe FrameMaker (2015 release) and Adobe FrameMaker XML Author (2015 release) with XDocs CCMS version 4.1. Adobe had certified the XDocs connector. The announcement positioned this combination as an end-to-end way to create, find, update, manage, translate and deliver structured content.
For authors, the practical change was access to the repository from inside FrameMaker. They could browse content, check files in and out, create new content and update existing files without leaving the familiar authoring environment. The integration used DITA-FMx and the XDocsFMx connector from Leximation, which the announcement noted had provided integration since FrameMaker 7.2.

XDocs 4.1 provided the content-management side of the workflow, connecting authoring with review, localization and delivery.
