Bluestream Database Software Corp. is pleased to announce the release of version 4.0 of the XDocs CCMS. XDocs 4.0 delivers some major updates to the system, which authors, handles, and publishes DITA and other content in both source and target languages.
In XDocs 4.0, Bluestream introduces a new workflow system based on BPMN 2.0. The new, automated XDocs Workflow is easy to configure and able to support complex internal processes as well as simple ones. XDocs Workflow 4.0 contains event subscription and email notification, and it integrates with the XDocs Reviewer module and compliments the Localization module. XDocs 4.0 also includes enhanced reporting on workflow tasks.
Another new feature—XDocs Extended Metadata—provides a system to define your own properties and associate files with a property value. XDocs Extended Metadata also supports thesauri, taxonomies, and ontologies and can be used for terminology control and indexing. XDocs Extended Metadata functions beautifully with XDocs system-wide Search and faceted browse.
In addition to a large range of features, XDocs 4.0 offers zero administration, quick installation, and some best in class CCMS features.
